Von Croamon, has said the situation is tense and has spoken of Kosovo police as well.
I am over the bridge that divides the north and south of Mitrovica, today I was in northern Kosovo where I spent the day speaking to representatives of civil society, opposition, police forces and institutions in the north. I have to admit it's a very tense situation. We saw many armed vehicles, armed forces, I don't know if this is a good idea in this situation by vigorously introducing elected mayors in municipal buildings”, she said.
The new leaders, although elected de jure, have no force of legitimacy to enter the building by force, while she adds that sustainable solutions must be found and trust should be built between communities.
“I think we should think twice really about confidence-building measures, wise solutions and finding sustainable ways of building confidence measures in northern Kosovo”, Von Croamon added. /Gazza Express/
