British KFOR stands in Kosovo at least until 2026

So has British Defence Minister James Heapey announced, during a visit to Kosovo, it is announced in the official announcement of the British Government.
During his visit to Pristina, he reportedly spoke with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani-Sandriou, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, with Defence Minister Armend Mehaj and KFOR commander.
The British executive's official report says that Kosovo is an important partner for the United Kingdom, as it brings to memory the rapid recognition of Kosovo and that the fact that United Kingdom forces have taken a key role in preserving peace and strengthening security in the region for more than two decades.
“It was a pleasure to meet with Kosovo's president and prime minister and announce further commitment to the United Kingdom for NATO Force in Kosovo.
Enhancing our engagement under KFOR underscores our firm commitment to supporting security in the Western Balkan region”, the Minister Heapey has indicated.

The report further states that the United Kingdom has been a key contributor to the UN-appointed NATO force since it first entered Kosovo in 1999 as a peacekeeping force to bring peace and stability after the 1990s conflict.
United Kingdom forces have worked to improve KFOR intelligence, oversight and intelligence ability, significantly raising awareness of the mission commanders' situation by ensuring that the operation ensures a safe and secure environment for all populations.
KFOR acts as one of the main security providers in Kosovo, with troops contributed by some 30 countries, including Italy, Turkey, Poland and the US, as well as Great Britain.
The British minister was also visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.
