After the situations created in the north of the country, in the municipality of Zvecan, it has already reached Bishop Teodosije '%baliʹ.
A large number of Serbian citizens have been hosted there.
Peacekeeping Mission NATO, KFOR, intervened to distribute protesters to Zvecan.
Similarly, he warned the protesters to disperse, but they disobeyed.
Kosovo police have not been present at the moment of KFOR's intervention against Serb protesters in Zvecan.
Representatives of Quint states in Kosovo US, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and France asked Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to take steps that would lead to the extension of the situation in northern Kosovo.
US Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier, who attended the meeting, said that “has an agreement that the stress of the situation needs to happen, but I don't know what will happen”.
“We believe that there is no need for elected mayors [of municipalities in the north] to work daily in municipal buildings. In the short term, we recommend that this be not made”, said Houvenier.
According to him, the Kosovo government has been able to find ways for mayors to swear in alternative buildings and avoid conflict.
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said tensions in the north are being caused by “by Serbian illegal structures turned into criminal gangs” who have attacked Kosovo police, KFOR officers and journalists.
Through a post in Titter, Osmani condemned violence in the north, since he accused Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq of destabilising the country's north. These unacceptable acts of violence must be punished by all.
Those who observe Vuciki's orders for the destabilisation of northern Kosovo must face justice”.
