In autumn, works begin at the Jasharan complex, the project costs millions of euros

The director of the Agency for Memorial Management, Bislim Zogaj, in an interview for Online Economics has said very soon the international competition for the renovation of the Jasharari complex in Prekaz is expected to be announced.

The project, which according to him, exceeds the size of a project that has so far been implemented in Kosovo and is expected to begin in autumn this year.

Zogaj, said it is a great project, which, according to him, after the outcome will reason on the delays so far.

“A commission of experts has been appointed, and the commission has done the design task and the design task has been voted by the inter-ministerial committee in late September, then several procedures have been launched for the opening of the application competition, and after all those details that have had to be provided, because this will be one of the special contests that we have not had until now in Kosovo, because it is a huge project but also extremely large (4)x1>.

He said it would initially come up to draft the project, which, according to him, all these procedures will take time until autumn.

Zogaj said experts have intervened in towers where there is need and that there is no danger except in an earthquake.

These procedures will take time, first it will be the competition for project drafting, as we have the project then the company selection procedures for implementation of the project will begin. We're hoping that all these procedures will take time in autumn, we're hoping that we can begin to preserve our resistance homes first. Besides, we're going to start with other jobs. The situation is good and can for a time resist these towers. We are hoping that Prekazin will have a centre of the region for visitors”, he said.

He said this project is designed to reach an area of up to 450 hectares and some 20 hectares will have construction, he stressed that the entire project will be very expensive.

The entire project should be expensive, we can't talk about the sum now because it's about a project that will be extended to an area within the 450 hectares complex, doesn't mean that there will be constructions at 450 hectares, but at least around 20 hectares there will be constructions, and the project will be quite expensive, and the project will cost several million”, he said.

He said that as agencies within the week, we will announce the final phase of building May's complex. According to him, next year there will be two major projects that are the project for children killed during the war and the war museum.

The “we are actually in this week's final phase of the Meja project, is one of the projects that 5 put on as agencies and which earlier even the municipality of Gjakova. Now we're in the final phase and within the week we're going to announce the final construction phase at the May complex, and by the end of the year we're going to have to complete this” project.

And then we have some projects in the municipalities that we've been trying to sort out what's most necessary. We are at the conclusion of several smaller projects, and we are leaving next year to implement some bigger projects that Kosovo lacks as a project for children killed during the war and a war museum.
