He says “The EU is already discussing a freeze on membership talks with Serbia”.
Austria has condemned the attacks on KFOR soldiers and journalists, while it has said the European People's Party (EPP) should urgently complete co-operation with Vucinqi.
“These escalations are the result of Aleksandar Vuciqi's etno-nationalist policy years and divisive rhetoric. KFOR soldiers and journalists have also become the targets of this violence readiness. I condemn attacks in stronger terms. The European People's Party (EPP) must urgently wrap up co-operation with Aleksandar Vucicin, against whom mass protests are currently under way in Serbia”, a statement sent to the media said.
Waitz says that “urgently needs political solutions for the crisis in the north” and that both sides return to the dialogue table.
