The United Arab Emirates have expressed concern over the recent tensions in northern Kosovo, underlining the need for calming the situation, turning to dialogue and respecting international rules and principles.
The EBA Foreign Affairs Ministry emphasised the good relations and close friendships of the United Arab Emirates with Kosovo and Serbia, stressing the visit of Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Belgrade and Pristina in March.
The ministry voiced the hope of the United Arab Emirates that the two countries return to their commitment to the European Union-brokered dialogue and implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels in February in terms of normalising agreed relations and annexes in Ohrid, so that peace and prosperity can be achieved for the peoples of Serbia and Kosovo and the entire region.
