He has met with KFOR commander to discuss future plans and operations to maintain impartially towards all sides for a safe environment in Kosovo in line with Resolution 1244, Express reports.
The additional arrival of 700 troops to Kosovo from the reserve battalion has also been discussed to normalise the situation and ensure security, meanwhile, has been spoken of by the dislocation of another reserve battalion that has been placed on high alert, in case necessary.
Munsch has praised KFOR's actions in preventing injuries and loss of lives in Kosovo during the 29 May incidents.
Munsch has even challenged KFOR, Italian and Hungarian soldiers who were injured during the violence exercised against them by Serb protesters on May 29th in Zvecan, Express writes.
He praised their professionalism, courage and content in dealing with violence. He also thanked the nations of Hungary and Italy for providing such well-trained soldiers”, the report said.
Munsch has also met the QUINT ambassadors to consult them for their support for a return to negotiations and to end violence.
As noted, the Admiral of NATO has called on all parties, including the <x0-paals that created the conditions for the violence of May 29th”, to refrain from further irresponsible decisions and actions and instead engage in confidential diplomatic negotiations to improve reports within the framework of EU-enlightened dialogue.
