Zelensky spoke from the village of Yagidne, north of Kiev, where he and German deputy cadre Robert Habeck went to celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of the area by Russian troops.
Shortly after the invasion, Moscow's soldiers forced 367 people, almost all of Yagidne's population, into the basement of a 200 square - foot [200 sq m] school.
Villagers, including an 18 - month - old baby, were kept there for about a month, and 11 of them died, broadcast an oracle.
After we saw all this, I hope Russia's president will spend the rest of his days in a basement with a bucket of toilet” said the Ukrainian leader.
