Ymer: Kurti's public prejudice for Nagip Krasniqi is intervention to prevent corruption fighting process

Analyst Visar Ymeri has commented on the reaction of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his party Vetevendosje after that reacted to the arrest of KEK chief chief Nagip Krasniqi, who, according to Ymer, actions and statements to protect Krasniqi are prejudiced against the process of justice.

For me, this subject that we're talking about on two flats is that we have a KEK chief arrested, which clearly comes from a political party that the prosecution has said we have enough evidence to establish the indictment”, Ymer said.

He has further commented on the reactions of Kuri and LVV deputies.

“We have a very disturbing response to the political subject [ Vetevendosje Movement] by Kosovo prime minister, down from which the chief chief chief comes Nagip Krasniqi, who prejudge the case”, has clarified Ymer.

According to Ymer, Kurti, is aware before the court whether Nagip Krasniqi is guilty or not.

This is very disturbing to me, which is not enough to say that I am fighting or not fighting corruption. There are governments that fight corruption by not becoming corrupt themselves by creating conditions to fight corruption. There are governments that are somewhat indifferent to corruption, then governments that prevent fighting corruption”, he has said.

“What Kosovo's prime minister has done today in relation to Nagip Krasniqi is the obstacle to fighting corruption. Public prejudice coming from prime minister that there is a prosecutor's plot to do so against LVV and its governance, and therefore started with Nagip Krasniqi, for me is intervention to prevent the process of fighting corruption”, Ymer added.

According to him, the arrested KEK directorship and state should ensure that this justice will be served in the judicial process against him.
