The second witness to the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) is being heard today for the third day, as his testimony began Monday and continued Tuesday.
Thaci case and others, the second witness continues to be heard in private session today
In Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( DESK) in The Hague, even today the trial is continuing against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders (UÇK), former President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Ministers Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, as well as former delegation Rexhep Selimi, where the second witness is being heard at the private hearing.
The second witness to the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) is being heard today for the third day, as his testimony began Monday and continued on Tuesday, reports the “Justice Vow Bet“.
The witness is responding to Hashim Thaci's defender Peter McCloskey's questions.
Otherwise, on Monday, in the Specialised Rooms, it completed its testimony, the first witness, who was also heard in private session. This protected prosecution witness has given her testimony on April 11, April 12, April 13, and April 17th.
On Monday (17 April) a hearing of the second witness, also protected, who has said he is a member of the LDK and has said he was present at the first public appearance of the KLA. He has also said that the KLA Political Directorate in Malisheva had pressured the LDK to shut down its activity.
Otherwise, at the April 3, 2023 session, the opening word was given by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office and the defender of the victims, Simon Laws.
Also, in that same session, after reading the SPS-changed indictment, former President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Minister Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, as well as former delegation Rexhep Selimi, were acquitted of criminal acts being placed on him.
The April 4th 2023 session, on the other hand, continued with Thaci's opening statement, Veselin and Selim, as well as unannounced statements.
Meanwhile, at the April 5th 2023 session, Krasniqi's opening word for defence was given, and the latter said the unannounced statement.
Otherwise, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, on September 30th, 2022, has handed over the confirmed amended indictment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, which consists of ten points of charges, where the latter are charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
On April 29th 2022, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office had handed over a amended indictment to Hashim Thaci, Kadri Wessel, Rexhepi and Jakup Krasniqi, where four indictees have committed war crimes even in Gjilan, Budakov and Semtish.
On November 9th 2020, in their first appearances, Hashim Thaci's Jakup Krasniqi has been declared innocent of the charges placed on them. Wessel has also been declared in his presentation on November 10th, as has Rexhep Selimi on November 11th.
