Warning protests: Firefighters have so many problems that nothing is working

Kosovo Firefighter Union Chairman Muharrem Beka has spoken about the state of firemen's work.

Beka said that if the government does not react to dissatisfaction, firefighters will protest.

“We have demanded that average age increase and employ more workers than there are not enough staff there are very few firemen”.

The biggest firehouse, according to Beka, is the issue of legal status.

He says the municipality and MPB are not choosing this issue, but are blaming each other.

The head of the Fire Union has said that the workers of this company are left at no one's mercy.

Beka said that firefighters don't even have enough equipment.

“are equipped with equipment and insufficient and personal spare parts are missing and some are very old. Firefighters have so many problems that nothing works without solving them. Neither with wages nor with working conditions nor with institutional care. Firefighters are not even compensated for the night shift hours, nor are holidays, nor hours out of time, left at no one's mercy”, Beka stressed.

Regarding the situation of firemen, Blerim Gashi, deputy leader of the change, has spoken.

Gashi said that only during last weekend of the week six interventions have been conducted.
