Sources for Periscope suggest Kurt's participation in this Iftar is linked to the lack of quorum that the Vetevendosje Movement has for voting laws in the Assembly, exactly the Civil Code bill. The absence of MPs such as Saranda Bogujevci and Tinka Kurti because of the lehonia break seems to have made VV's work difficult in the Parliament.
MPs from the Kosovo Assembly, last time they were put to the polls, have not approved the draft civilian code, in which permission to marry the same sex is envisioned. Of the 61 MPs who voted, 28 were against, 29 against and four of them abstained.
