No voters at five polling stations in the north

Most Serbs in four municipalities in northern Kosovo appear to be boycotting early local elections in that part. Of the 45,095 citizens with voting rights, by 1500, only 1092 people have voted. Meanwhile, from 19 polling stations, no citizens have gone to five stations to vote. [...]
According to Kosovo sources, up to these moments no citizens have taken advantage of the constitutional right to vote at two polling stations in Zubim Potok, then at two polling stations in Leposaviq and a centre in Zvecan.
In the north today, 19 polling stations have opened, of which 13 are alternative or are called “containing”, where citizens are able to choose the four mayors and in two of them also assemblyists.
In December 2022, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, influenced by the fragile security situation, decided to postpone the election date from December 18th to April 23rd for several months.
Since announcing the new election date, the largest Serbian party, the Serbian List, has called on Serbian citizens to boycott this election. The Serbian state, whose president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has also personally repeated calls for boycott, claiming that only “100 Serbs will participate.
Just three days before election day, one of the Serbian political subjects, the Kosovskih Party, Srba (PKS), has withdrawn from the election race. Its candidate for Leposavic chairman, Aleksandar Jablanovac, and 18 candidates for the municipality's assembly have withdrawn from the election process.
In general, the number of certified candidates for participation in the four municipalities' elections is 11, while more than 60 candidates have been certified for participation in elections for the two municipal municipalities.
In the Leposaviqi municipality's election for mayor, there are: Hetemi Albulen (PDK) Alexander Jablanoviq (PKS) and Lulzim Hetemi (VV).
In Zubin Potok, the race takes place between two candidates -- Izmir Zeqiri from the PDK and Flatrotron Hasani and Vetevendosje.
Ilir Peci from PDK, Fetah Peci from VV, run in Zvecan, while Sladjana Pantovic is an independent candidate.
In the North Mitrovica mayorial elections, the Mitrovica Civic Inisva competes with candidate Betim Osmani, The PDK with Taulant Kelmendi and Vetevendosje with Erden Attic.
In the elections for the two municipal municipalities, however, the Democratic Party of Kosovo competes with 16 candidates in Zvecan and 2 in Leposaviq, of Vetevendosje Movement with 10 candidates in Zvecan and 18 in Leposaviq. Of the Serb community's ranks, only the Kosovskih Srba Party has about 20 candidates in the race for the Leposaviqi municipality.
