Sunday, April 23rd, is the day when the extraordinary mayoral elections in northern Mitrovica are being held, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq and Zvecan.
All three municipalities -- North Mitrovica, Leposaviqi, Zvecani and Zubin Potok -- have remained without mayors since November last year. That is after Serbs abandoned Kosovo institutions because of the Kosovo Government's decision to reregister cars with Serbian license plates.
In the race for mayors of these municipalities are 10 candidates from three political subjects, of which only one from the Serb community. / RTVDukagini/
