Von Croamon: No more crawling, visa liberalisation accomplished

Eurodeputta Violet von Cremon has said in an interview for T7 that the visa liberalisation process is over and that nothing can put this process on hold now. She has also said that all Kosovo governments are credited with this process and that she does not see herself as merit [...]
The “has not happened because of my insistence or my dedication, but it is because your country has fulfilled all the criteria and has done everything it takes to finally get the green light”, she said.
The “has never been a problem in Parliament or the European Commission, but the European Council and some representatives of states have been skeptical. We tried to talk to them so that they could change their attitude and postpone the process in the right direction, and we finally saw the outcome we wanted. Visa liberalisation for Kosovo may occur earlier because your people deserve it, but unfortunately it took years to finalise this” process, Von Cromon added.
She says she has felt good and that now it is time for Kosovo citizens to deal with other more important things.
“I have felt good, however it is an even better day for all Kosovo citizens who have waited so long. It's good that this is over because we can already deal with other issues that are equally important”, Von Croamon added.
In the end, she said there were various acts in Kosovo's history that worked for liberalisation and that credit is not of a specific government, but of all those who have participated for years in the process.
The European Union doesn't have much credit. Very likely, the achievement came from different Governments, from various political acts that worked and made sure that all criteria are met. So I wouldn't give him credit for just one particular government, but for all those who participated, she said.
There is nothing that can drag the process, now everything finished”, Von Croamon concluded.
