In this regulation, it was mentioned that Kosovo has met all the criteria required for this issue, yet Kosovo still has work ahead.
The regulation published today says that prior to the date when effective implementation begins, Kosovo should make “agreements and or readmission arrangements, under implementation, with member states not yet having such agreements or arrangements”.
After completing these agreements, Kosovo must fully implement those agreements or arrangements by respecting the principle not to return [refugees] to the Convention on Refugees Status on July 28, 1951, changed with the New York Protocol of January 31, 1967.
The next job Kosovo has to accomplish will have to do with migration.
“to ensure migration is well managed and to ensure a safe environment, Kosovo must try to further harmonise its visa policy with that of Union”, it is further said.
