The RTK newspaper from Brussels, Gjeracina Tuhina, said that this vote implies that the dilemmas me that Kosovars will move visa-free from January 1st 2024.
“It is about completing all decision-making procedures regarding visa liberalisation for Kosovo, there is no doubt that it will pass tomorrow with a sweeping majority vote on visa liberalisation taking into account that the EP has been the biggest promotor of lifting the visa regime for Kosovo citizens, so the result as such will testify during tomorrow's”, she said.
According to her one day later Wednesday, April 19th is the signing of the Legal Act ceremony.
The European Parliament President, a representative of the Swedish presidency of the European Union Council, will also attend the ceremony, and Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi will likely attend the press conference, not the signing ceremony.
The “This concludes everything, 20 days later, with the announcement in the official newspaper and all expected is the moment when Kosovo citizens, travelling without visas, confirming the decision and the text approved, will happen on January 1st, 2024”, she stressed.
