They lost the lives of the three people in a car that crashed from the train early in the morning at a crossing point in northern Germany.
Police say a regional train hit a car near Neustad am Ribenberg, near Hanover, German media reported, Washingtonpost.
The driver of the 22-year-old car, along with two women in the vehicle, 21 and 22 years old, lost his life in the accident.
There were 38 passengers on the train, and four railway workers and one person was easily injured.
The car appears to have crashed into the crossing even though barriers, which did not cover the entire length of the road, were closed.
