Tomorrow's elections in the North, these are the measures police will take

The purpose of police planning and co-ordination is to implement the operational police plan.

The plan reportedly envisions Kosovo Police engage in professional, transparent and impartial legal tasks and responsibilities for citizens and the country to enable free exercise of the right to vote all participants in the election.

Plannings, police commitments in security management during election process in northern Kosovo municipalities

Kosovo police, based on its operational planning and co-ordination with representatives of competent institutions, including the Central Election Commission (KQZ), have undertaken all actions and measures under the mandates and legal authorisations for co-ordinating activities, in order to provide security and manage the election process in northern Kosovo municipalities.

The purpose of these planning and co-ordination is to implement the operational police plan, where Kosovo police aim to create a safe and secure environment for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo -- before, during and after the election process. Ensuring the right to vote, protecting life and property, preventing negative phenomena and criminal activities that would at any rate endanger security, tranquillity and stability, as well as taking legal measures to illegal acts, etc.

This plan envisions that Kosovo police engage in professional, transparent and impartial legal tasks and responsibilities for citizens and the country to enable free exercise of voting rights to all participants in the election.

At the same time, relevant institutions encourage all citizens to co-operate with the Kosovo Police, State Prosecutor, the CEC and, to report on any illegal cases associated with security, electoral process, or even abroad.

Reports will be dealt with confidentially and the same can be addressed to the State Prosecutor, the CEC and the Kosovo Police.
