His wife said that she was surprised when she learned this and had very little chance of doing so.
“We haven't had a girl on our direct line for more than 100 years”, he said.
Andrew's family also confirmed the news, explaining that there has been no girl in his background since the late 19th century.
The couple had a four-year-old son named Cameron when they were trying to have another child.
After two abortions, the couple discovered that Caroline was again pregnant. And at that moment, they didn't have a preference for the baby. They were just grateful to be waiting again and hoping for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy child.
In September, during a genus celebration with their family and friends, Clarks learned that they had a daughter. All in attendance served them cookies, and color in them revealed that one girl was coming to life.
After a back count, Andrew, Caroly, and their guests shared the cookies and rejoiced to see the pink, confirming that they were expecting a girl. Caroline recalled: “Everyone was screaming and jumping in disbelief. ”
Given that this was their first in 138 years, he admitted it was really hard to find a name because they had never thought of a girl's name before.
