Svechla said in a direct link to public television that there are no incidents and that they expect the day to end peacefully.

I'm in Mitrovica today and we're tracking the situation as far as security issues are concerned. The situation is stable, quiet. We have no incidents, and we expect the day to end peacefully”, Svechla said.

The minister said that “these elections are different for many reasons”, as far as security is concerned.

Contrary to earlier, there are no incidents”, he said.

Svechla said that in recent days Serbian citizens have become the awesome <x0pression not to come up in the election”.

But otherwise today there is no tendency for the passing of the” situation, Svechla said.

He said he expects the number of citizens who will exploit the right to vote to increase.

Regarding the new polling locations, Svecla said that alongside the CEC has been assessed “that the best solution is to find alternative” spaces.

“This does not mean impossible voter turnout”, he said.

The working conditions are also more comfortable. Even for voters the polls are identified and I don't see any particular problems”, Svechla added.

Minister of Internal Affairs said the Kosovo Police have never been more prepared to provide security for all citizens.
