Young: SPS allegations could lift Selimi's freedom for at least 2 years

David Young, Rexhepi Selimi's lawyer, has said that in the indictment against the 10th of the KLA, there is no hint that the latter had ordered any crime and, according to him, s quite analum has caused crimes by actions or inactions. Young said Selimi would be at the centre of custody even for [...]

Young said Selimi will be in the centre of custody for at least two years.

“It is claimed that Selimi supervised the definition of borders between the areas, and is equally claimed that it was co-ordinated and informed through reports and participated in the” military operations.

When you read these claims, you can forgive anyone I don't understand. Where is criminality in these acts? What the SPS has seen to justify the indictment against Selimi, removing its freedom for more than 2 years and for an expected duration of at least 2 more years”, Young has indicated.

On the other hand, Young said that however the SPS might try to combine in this way or another against Selimi, according to him, evidence does not testify that he contributed on behalf of a joint plan.

“Since his early surrender to a police station in November 2020, where he was informed of an alleged arrest warrant against him and to the statement today, Selimi has been fully committed to this trial, despite the inevitable stain that comes from being banned in a foreign country, away from his family, whose release fought”, Young said.
