The elections come after the shock caused by the crash of two trains that left dozens of victims behind.

 

The Greek prime minister met with the president today and officially handed over the act proposing the distribution of parliament.

Greece's president approved Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's request for the distribution of parliament and holding early elections on 21 May. Mr. Mitsotakis's government mandate was expected to be officially completed in July.

Parliament is expected to be distributed on April 23rd.
