He has a long career in diplomacy and has worked earlier at the American Embassy in Tirana.
During the hearing session at the end of March, Kostalancik said he is the right one to be the new ambassador to Albania, based on 30 years of experience and the strong desire to strengthen the US-Albanian partnership.
Kostalancik named the US's main goal of fighting corruption in Western Balkan countries.
