Former diplomat Petrit Selimi has said that the effort to establish a equality between the Kosovo Liberation Army and Milosevic's army is similar to trying to equate Ukrainian forces with Russian invaders.

“We agreed with the presentation that the effort to establish an equality mark between the KLA and Milosevic's army during the 1999 Kosovo war is similar to today's attempt to equate Zelensky Ukrainian forces with Russian genocide invaders”, he has said.
