More than 10 residents from Malisevo and Kline protest in front of the government against highway deviation

Citizens from the Malisheva municipality and Klina have protested Thursday in front of the government against the deviation of the Pristina-Paj highway.

The demand of these residents, mainly of the villages of Stapanica, Rijave and Glareva, has come out to express their frustrations about the deviation in the Kijevo-Dolc segment.

Meanwhile, some of the protest representatives have been received in the government by Prime Minister's Office Secretary Arben Kransiqi to discuss the matter.

However, the same meeting after this meeting stated that the secretary was unaware of the problem, and after that he addressed them for a meeting with the infrastructure minister, Lieburn Aliu.

One of the organisers of this protest, Sheremet Pantina, said they have not received any answers from the secretary if the prime minister, Albin Kurti, has reviewed their demands for rejecting the deviation of the road.

Ardian Zogaj, representative of businesses in that area, says that unless their demands are taken into account, they will not stop protesting.

“We have come up against the road, because we have been promised that there will be no deviation... we have filed complaints two weeks ago and every day, but none of these are taken into account... if they are not taken into account, we will continue with protests in the village every day until something is done”, he said.

Fadil Morina, resident of the village of Rajeva, says that if their demands are not taken into account, there is no choice but to abandon Kosovo.

The resident, Isuf Morina, says if their demands are not considered, they will block the road.

Even the citizen, Zenel Balaj, has expressed disappointment over the deviation of the road. According to him, there is nothing left for youth but to release Kosovo.
