Repeat to Haxhi: Act on KKP was paradoxical to reverse

Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has again commented on the Constitutional Court's decision to bring down the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. He has described the act as paradoxically, contrary to surprise. “The Court's ruling on the KKP Bill was surprising, it was paradoxical, it was against the”, Haxhiu said, in the Kosovo Parliament's speaker. “The Court's ruling on the KKP Bill was surprising, it was paradoxical, it was against the”, Haxhiu said, in the Kosovo Parliament's speaker.

It has said it will not allow corruption within the Prosecutorial Council and has warned of proceedings.

Despite the delays you're causing us, we're not going to stop”, Haxhiu said.

After publishing the indictment, Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu had said the Constitutional Court has defended the personal interest of some members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, not general interest.

On 24 March, the Constitutional Court had declared the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) invalid, following last year's request to assess the constitutionality of this law by deputies from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo last year.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council had welcomed the Constitutional Court's decision, which overturned the Government-sponsored KKP Law and adopted by Parliament.
