Rama has said that Albania and Kosovo are the two Western Balkan countries, in which Russia has no influence.
When talking about the geopoliticality of the Western Balkans, we have a very complex relationship, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro. Albania has nothing to do with Russian influence, while the other two are under Russian influence, meanwhile, is Serbia and Russian-inflicted Bosnia, while Kosovo is like us. In Serbia, Russian influence is up to 70% compared to Albania, which may be up to 1.2%”, Prime Minister Rama has said at the forum.
He said Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro have adopted sanctions, while Serbia has not, this could be a turning point.
“We have embraced 100% sanctions and is not a problem for us, while in Serbia's case sanctions would be translated into a lack of gas, so it is better to move steadily towards unifying sanctions”, the Albanian prime minister said.
“We need to take into account the fact that Vuciq is in a difficult situation, not only he but whoever is in charge of Serbia, where Putin's popularity is bigger than his, I think he's doing the right thing. We've supported Ukraine all the time but we have to define what happens if Ukraine wins the war and as long as we don't have the exact definition we have to survive the bloody and frozen destruction, this is something that can go on forever”, Rama added.
As for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Rama said dialogue is still a big issue, and the solution means closing a chapter forever.
This is something very important and strategic, relations are much better than they used to be, there is a lack of stability. Looks like the Russians want to light the fuse”, Rama said among other things.
