Rama: Nobody ever believed Kurt would sit down with Vuchy, maybe except for me.

When he spoke of Association, Edi Rama has said it is a signed agreement and has a special significance because it is the maximum Kosovo can do in addressing Serbia. When Rama said that, he added that this is the minimum Kosovo has to do, since until yesterday nobody thought Kosovo could be independent.

Rama says Serbia is surrendering to this reality, and despite what Vuciq says, recognition will happen.

“Now, association is a signed agreement and there is particular importance to the fact that it is the maximum Kosovo can do in addressing Serbia, even though it is about the Serb community in Kosovo. When speaking of Kurti and Vucinqi's red lines, Rama has said that no one has thought Albin Kurti would sit at the table with Serbia's president, Alexander Vucic. When Rama says that, he excludes himself because he says he thought that would happen.

Rama in this interview has acknowledged that from Belgrade they have told him that Serbia would more easily accept that Kosovo would join Albania than recognise Kosovo as an independent state, yet it points out that Serbia does not accept that Kosovo is an irreversible reality, with or without Serbia's recognition.
