In QPS every day cases of school violence are reported

The possession of firearms and cold students in schools is a growing phenomenon. An appeal is made to parents to control their children more.

The phenomenon of possession of firearms and cold students has increased. So, at the Centre for Social Work, the calls for this kind of intervention are daily.

There are almost no days we don't have a phone call, we don't have an email from any of Pristina's many schools that don't have to intervene, and of course those cases that come to us are cases that can't be found within the school and they're referring to QPS”, says Vabi Mujku from the Centre for Social Affairs.

He also asks parents to have a higher interest in children.

We appeal to all the parents who are constantly checking their bags, checking their pockets, seeing what their children possess. They possess various tools; knives, iron boxers, sticks, narcotics... and here is the primary responsibility of parent”, he said, says Tv1.

And for violence at schools, there are several factors.

And then you need to look at it first, if you're going to analyze the family history, see if there's a history of abuse, then you have to look at the story of thunder if it's been reported by that child by his peers or in other contexts, you need to see if there's potential for narcotic substances, massify mental health difficulties”

According to the Kosovo Police, for the January-March 2023 period the total number of reported cases in schools and around them is 147 cases.
