Even Qalaj as he commented on today's meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq with Serbian List in Rakes, said this meeting is considered a kind of threat to voters who would dare to come to the polls.
“Voters are still threatened today at the Serbian president's meeting with the Serbian List and with other individuals, has called for the Serb community in northern municipalities not to come to the polls. This call of a president of a hostilely-standing country should also be considered a kind of threat to anyone who would dare to come up in the elections in northern municipalities”, he said.
But despite this cable on the “show Info Nata” in Teve1 said elections in northern municipalities should be held, and according to him, the Central Election Commission and security experts should take action to hold elections.
“Whether the Central Election Council or security experts should take action to keep the elections. Now the CEC has failed several meetings and what I'm going to expect, I know they want a risk assessment even from the police, but there's got to be courage and make decisions sometimes very difficult decisions, but the process has to move forward. We know there will be efforts to destabilise even further those four municipalities, and that destabilisation will be wise and guided by Serbia's president is understood with elements of the Serbian List”, he said.
While stressing that the “has both individual and political parties from the Serb community that have shown interest in holding elections and we as a state have the obligation of citizens to ensure a constitutional right to free voting. Even in that part, security institutions must take appropriate measures to keep these elections”.
