“... as to the already deceased Mr. Dino Asanaj, informing the opinion that all necessary investigative and procedural actions have been taken on the part of the prosecutor of the case, and after the assessment of the actual situation, real-time information has been given about the case. The KKP emphasises that for the sake of transparency before public opinion and in the rule of law, it invites anyone with other information concerning this case, including the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, ministers and deputies of the Parliament, as well as other state officials and citizens of the country, to come and provide information on this very case in the very institution where it is to give details that may be unknown by this time”, the KP response reported.
This council therefore stresses that the prosecutorial institutions are fully ready and dedicated to legally handle any information of interest in lighting all cases in question.
Kosovo's “Prosecutorial Council informs the general public that, as far as the case is concerned, it is true that the chief prosecutor's office is now in sight. PSRK's, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, was the prosecutor of the case in the initial phase of the investigation, but we inform you that he has already received the case from another prosecutor and that it is good to ask the prosecutor, because only he can give adequate response”, a reaction is said further.
The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has called Prime Minister Kurti's statements false that there have been cases even in the past but that have not been addressed. “... This statement turns out to be false and of course that, in this case, if there is such information, let them be declared publicly and know which case it was and who handled it”, is highlighted in response.
The KKP has in the end stressed that “supports and defends with all legal means available to the professional work of all prosecutors of the Republic of Kosovo, and in case even the work of PRSK and its prosecutors, who engage and work to enforce the laws of the country and not to be dealt with without facts in any situation and for agendas that are not in the domain of the State Prosecutor's Institute”.
