This month comes a year from when the post of chief state prosecutor is led by a task officer. Blerim Isufaj's name, Kosovo Prosecutorial Council proposal (KPK), follows standing at the president's table, Vjosa Osmani, who has not yet made a decision on the appointment of the new chief prosecutor.
Civil society organisations require Osman to end this long-standing process by decreeing Isufyan, or turning the whole process to zero.
Movement Director Fol, Medjide Demolli, estimates that already after the Constitutional Court's decision that ruled that the Law for the KKP is unconstitutional, President Osmani no longer has reason not to decide on the decrees of the proposed candidate.
Similar sentiments are shared by Kosovo's Institute for Justice, Dreem Makshana, who claims that they have already stopped all causes that Osman does not decide on the process of chief state projector.
Makshana says that the process of selecting the chief state prosecutor has been lacking in integrity, so they see the entire process returning to zero.
President Osmani's adviser, Bekim Kupina, in a response to Kosova Preress, said that given the remarks for this process, it is necessary to cut off all constitutional options and deadlines that counterCandidists have to address on the judicial road.
Kupina added that there is no legal and constitutional obstacle for the head prosecutor of state to be led by task counsel.
While the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for Kosova Prees says it is important for this institution to have the chief prosecutor decreed as soon as possible at the helm of the State Prosecutor's institution.
In the race for the post of chief state prosecutor, besides Blerim Isufaj, were Armendi Hamiti, Lulzim Sylejmani, Albanian Fazliu and Kujtim Munishi. This race opened after Alexander Lumez's mandate was passed.
Currently the post of chief state prosecutor is being exercised by the prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi. /Kosovo priss
