President commemorates Kostare Battle, says it was one of the most glorious KLA battles

She has remembered the fall of commanders Salih Cekaj, Agim Ramadani, Xhemajl Fetajaj, Abbas Thaci.

The “Today marks the anniversary of the Kostunica Battle, one of the most glorious battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army. On this day, we respectfully remember the heroes of the Mayan Battle and the KLA's liberation war. Kostare's battle strongly testified that the freedom sacrifice is too high, but freedom has no price. The heroic fall of commanders Salih Cekaj, Agim Ramadani, Xhemajl Fetaj, Abbas Thaci and other commanders and warriors testified that the battle of Kosare preserves an honorary place in our collective memory. We bow to the bravery and sacrifice of freedom fighters from Porji of Tetovo, Tirana and Tropoja, Tuzi and Presevo, and volunteers from other countries who joined the Kosovo people's struggle for freedom and dignity. The “Days of the Albanian” -- dedicated to this glorious battle -- are organised under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
