Placing 16 barricades in the north during December, the prosecution does not indicate whether the investigation has begun

The Special Prosecutor is not known whether he has launched investigations into 16 barricades that were located in the country's north in December last year. In this regard, there is no executive or legislature. Power and opposition MPs say people involved in obstructing the road are known and that so far [...]

Power and opposition MPs say people involved in obstructing the road are known and that so far they would have to launch investigations. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared that the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence has sent testimony and facts, but there is still no indictment.

Kosova Prees has addressed questions in the Special Prosecutor, what he has been waiting for for weeks of answers, and this has not happened. Such information has no Commission for Security, for which majority MP, Mefail Bajqinovci, criticises the Special Prosecutor.

Neither officially nor in the media has the Special Prosecution launched any investigation or even arrested someone for obstructing official persons and blocking roads in northern Kosovo, Mitrovica, and several towns there. So far all we've seen is that when there's a problem inside our institutions, our prosecution immediately arrests our police officer, and when we're at the barricades, the people who've stumbled and shot him in the direction of the police and made life a risk, we have no information and we have no arrest, no investigation, nothing and nothing”, Bajqinovci said.

These organisations of Serbs in the country's north, as Bajqinovci puts it, are orchestrated by the Serbian List.

Even the MP The PDK, Rashit Qalaj, says that people who have prevented the movement in the north, through barricades have been armed.

We don't have any information about the eventual launch of investigations about people who have been blocking roads for a long time. The people that even through electronic media have seen that they were armed and people who have just made the restriction on movement, especially for the Kosovo Police. People supported by the Serbian List, by the state of Serbia and by the structures there criminalised. You know that there has been a secret agreement between the Government of Kosovo and the international factor and the Government of Serbia to withdraw these barricades. Likewise, we as the PDK have expressed our disappointment and also our concern about this agreement and about an amnesty that has been done to persons who have been to those barricades”, Qalaj said.

Furthermore, the former director of the Kosovo Police states it is the duty of the Directorate of Intelligence and AKI to provide evidence on this issue.

The Kosovo Police Intelligence Directorate and AKI is also tasked with providing as many facts as possible for all those who have been to those barricades. But you've actually seen a statement from the international factor, which has called those barricades peaceful, totally unacceptable. Since they all know those barricades have been armed with people, with criminal backgrounds, people from Serbia's services, people who have come from outside Kosovo who have just made the physical threat of members of KP”, he added to Kosovas.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has also spoken of failing to investigate the barricades. He has said he has been informed by the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence, that he has sent evidence and evidence of countless violations that have been made in northern Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Agency for Evidenceless Intelligence, without a number of facts, has sent the prosecution during December and January for the 16 barricades of parallel structures in northern Kosovo. No charge. How can the Kosovo Intelligence Agency send so many facts to our prosecution and it does not act towards those who, criminally, in black uniforms, in connection with the Belgrade-capped Russian vagner, placed the barricades behind them armed. No indictment”, he said.

In December last year, several Serb groups had set up barricades in northern Kosovo to oppose former police officer Dejan Pantic's arrest.
