The Kosovo Parents' Council has demanded from institutions responsible for respecting spring break for students of Kosovo's pre-university system.

Through a Facebook post, the Parents' Council has said that denying student holidays on weekends and prior holidays on the school calendar are violations of international conventions and the Constitution.

According to this council, the demand for changing the school calendar and allowing spring break has been sent to the Minister of Education, Arberie Nagavci, and an answer is expected.

“As the Parents' Council, we have accepted many requests and complaints from parents about the removal of our children's right to spring break. We have expressed this concern since September 2022, during the strike, when we asked that you not be taken away and denied our children's rights to vacation on weekends, winter, and spring. But the Ministry of Education had published the correct teaching calendar for this school year immediately after the strike stopped, where it ignored parents' demands, and by violating the rights of student children in the public sector, it has denied children the right to rest. This does not remember happening after the war in Kosovo”, said among other things in the parenting Council's response.
