North Korea tested a nuclear-free underwater weapon called “Haeil-2” from 4 to 7 April, the state media reported, more than a week after discovering a new underwater threat called “Haeil-1”, which is translated as the tsunami.
The state news agency KCNA said that during testing the strategic underwater weapons system, you were afraid to travel 1,000km for 71 hours and 6 minutes and successfully hit a simulated target, Reuters writes.
“Test perfectly confirmed the credibility of the strategic underwater weapons system and its capacity of fatal attack”, the KCNA said.
North Korea has regularly tested various weapons for months and has increased its activity in recent weeks in response to joint US-Southern military exercises.
