Nagip Krasniqi sent to hold for 48 hours

The Special Prosecutor has announced through a communique for the media that KEK director Nagip Krasniqi has been arrested.

Krasniqi, according to the Prosecutor, has been arrested because of the suspicion that he committed “The use of official position or authority”, “The exercise of influence” and “interest conflict”.

Also, it becomes known that the Special Investigation Unit today has raided Krasniqi's office in Pristina, two residences in separate locations in Pristina, owned and exploited by the same one, with the aim of finding evidence involving high-profile criminal acts.

“During the raid have been seized various documents that connect to the case, electronic devices like three computers, a laptop-top, a mobile phone, a USB, in quality of material evidence that will serve for the following procedure”, the report said.

With the state prosecutor's decision, the defendant with the initial N.K. has been sent to a 48-hour stay. /Periksopi/
