A new operational programme compiled by one of the anesthesiologists and signed by the head of the anesthesiology has been established at Mitrovica Hospital. This new programme has envisioned reducing electronic operations or otherwise known as non-urgent interventions, says Schneta newspaper.
According to this new operation scheme, the Orthopeda division will only be able to use the operating room five days within May, three units O. RL, Oftalmo, and Urology have the operating room in use for only four days, while gynecology and surgery from six days during May.
And this new scheme of the operating programme reduced with the number of operations is being supported by the Mitrovica Hospital management. This reason for not having enough anesthesiologists, although four anesthesiologists work at this hospital last year and this year.
Management through the hospital spokeswoman has sent some answers to Gazeta, which is accepted and reasons for reducing the number of operations.
There are five large operating halls in Mitrovica General Hospital, where one of them is with serious diseases”.
“Salat at Mitrovica General Hospital works 18-20 days a month, or they simply don't work just one day within the week due to the absence of an Anesthesiologist who is a previous 24-hour caretaker day. The management of the General Mitrovica Hospital has been announced by the head of the Anesthesia Department for changing schedules for reasons of overload”, the Mitrovica Hospital's response reported.
The paper has requested additional clarifications of the number of operations in 2019-2020 in the same period as 2023 in this hospital because they have reasoned with overload, but the management has given no answers.
