In Kosovo on April 27th, the National Day of Extinction is marked by the recent 1998/99 war.
To co-operate with the darkness that the family of the homeless feel more than 23 years ago, lights have been out in the capital for 5 minutes.
We thank you so much for joining our call for solidarity and we believe that together we conveyed to all a very powerful message”.
We will not stop and continue to ask and remind all persons found by the last war in Kosovo, until they return to family members and justice to be put in place for them and their families”, the IYHR-KS report said.
According to official data, 1,617 people have been considered forcibly missing since the last war in Kosovo.
Hundreds of victims of Kosovo Albanians have been found at mass cemetery in Serbia.
State authorities in Kosovo have demanded that Serbia open state archives, which, according to them, would help whitewash the fate of the found.
During the war in Kosovo, about 13,000 people have been killed, over 800,000 displaced, while about 6,000 have disappeared.
