Following the Ohrid Agreement on March 18th, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq will meet to discuss its implementation in early May.
On April 4th, there has been a level of technical dialogue meeting between Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and Serbian official Petar Petkovic.
Bislimi has said that at the upcoming summit -- that is, the one between Kurti and Vuciqi -- a draft of the Serb majority municipality Association statute, which the so-called Management Team, led by Serbian MP Danijela Vujicic, will be introduced.
The proposal was to be introduced [draft-Stutute Association] on April 22nd. Since Serbia has said that Vuciqi cannot come, we remain agreeing to an alternative date, but will be in April”, Bislimi declared on 5 April.
After the April 4th meeting, Bislimi said that the five criteria under which the Association should be agreed to have been agreed to in Brussels. They, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, are five sufficient fuses showing that this mechanism or this type of self-defence has nothing of what we have called Zajednica“.
Petkovic, however, said that “this is a pure lie of Bislim” and that “pee criteria for association” were not mentioned in Brussels. The Serbian official said that at the meeting it was talking about the Action statute and the Management Team.
After so many years today, we discussed for the first time the most concrete steps for forming association within the trilateral meeting. More precisely, what the management team should do and in line with the 2013 and 2015 agreements, it is clear that the first step is to submit the statute”, Petkovic said on April 4th.
At the last meeting in Ohrid, Kurti and Vuciq have agreed to the Basic Agreement Implementation Plan, which has been reached 27 February, according to the European proposal.
