Forty-two martyrs and 280 martyrs in Drenas are remembered

In the 24th anniversary of the fall of the hero of the Ilaz Kodra nation, 42 martyrs and more than 280 martyrs, the Crenass and the Scirtew municipality, today have been homazhes in the tomb of martyrs and martyrs, in Drenas near the September of hero Ilaz Kodra, and has become the discovery of the memorial plaque in the village of Globar. [...]
Present at this inauguration was PDK deputy chairman Vlora Citaku.
Chitaku, in one case, said that in Drenas and Drenica speak the deeds of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
“In Globar, Drenas and Drenica speak memorials, speak street names, speak school names, squares, speak wrinkles on Murat's forehead. There is no room here for words, just respect, gratitude, and gratitude. These guys have never fallen to die”, Citaku said.
The deputy head of the Drenasa municipality, Arben Shala, has called historical figures to all martyrs and martyrs who gave everything of themselves for the freedom that the country now enjoys.
Shala said this memorial plaque serves as evidence for future generations to know that the freedom struggle was right.
This village became home to hundreds of people from surrounding villages, even though the danger was permanent in the vicinity of Drenas. Your humanity, the desire to stay in your lands and homes, showed the enemy that Kosovo is not theirs but yours. But, as in every village in this region and beyond, throughout Kosovo, freedom came with the war, defeat, suffering, blood and sacrifice of the best sons, the plaque we are opening today. We always remember martyrs and martyrs with pain and respect, and this plaque is evidence for present and future generations that war was fair. This plaque bearing the names of martyrs and martyrs, the daughters of the sons of this country, reminds us that freedom is above all, that we must have it clear that the fallen ones for freedom want us, like they love our country”, Shala said.
War associations representative Enver Hajdari said this monument serves to remind of the fair fight the Kosovo Liberation Army waged.
Hajdari has also mentioned former KLA leaders who are being tried at The Hague. According to him, this is another injustice that has been done to the country.
It's good that we're putting this mark, though late and symbolic, but at least remembering the war and saying there's been a fair KLA war and there's been a massacre against this innocent people. It's a pain to remember after 24 years, because losing one family member is a big job but on the other side is pride, because without KLA war, martyrs, martyrs, without war veterans at the helm with legendary commanders, we wouldn't enjoy this freedom today, even though we don't have full freedom, because the goal was to unite all Albanian lands. Even after the war we as co-fighters, as KLA soldiers faced a lot of injustice, a time of UNMIK, EULEX and now the Hague tribunal ... where, today, KLA leaders at The Hague” are found without any fault and evidence, said Hajdari.
The Director of the Memorial Management Agency, Bislim Zogaj, said the contribution they have made to building this monument is a very small and symbolic sign for those who have given their lives for freedom.
When we are carrying out a commitment to the country, we are also feeling excited, because this is one of the projects that we may have had to do earlier, but we have finally managed to make a project, which, as small as it is, is very symbolic and good meaning, but above all the work has been done very well”, Zogaj said.
The manager in this village, Murat Elshani, until everyone thanked for the contribution made to this monument, said the KLA was and remained always glorious.
Driton Krasniqi, family of the fallen, has all thanked the contribution of this plaque and participation.
We remember that on April 30th, 1999, 42 martyrs were killed at the top of the hero Ilaz Kodra, and over 280 village martyrs, Vroboc, Steutice, Trstenik, Dashec, Bucks, Globar and surrounding villages. / KP
