He has written through a Facebook post that the Kosovo and Serbian sides under the meeting discussed implementing the Agreement on the road to normalisation and current urgent issues. Lajcak has said he has also informed State Department adviser Derek Chollet about the meeting.
I also met with State Department Adviser Derek Chollet. It was good to talk about recent developments in the Western Balkans. I also informed him of the dialogue meeting and of the chief negotiators. We agreed on the need for immediate confidence implementation. I am very grateful for the partnership and strong co-ordination with the United States when it comes to Dialogue”, he said.
Otherwise, Kosovo and Serbia have agreed to the text of the declaration on missing persons, according to a statement by the head of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petkov, after the trilateral meeting in Brussels with Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Bislim and Lajcak.
I would just add that we have had special care for all the terms and that we have not accepted the term mentioned at the international convention for violent extinction, because we have taken care not to jeopardise Serbia's interests”, Petkoviq said Tuesday, April 4th.
After this meeting, Bislimi has said the parties have agreed that the next summit at the top level be held 22 April.
However, this is not as safe as there are indicators that Serbia's president is not willing or unable to come to this date, so an alternative” date remains to be considered, Bislimi said.
At this upcoming meeting, according to Petkov, the text of the declaration on missing persons will be formally adopted, for which he said the parties have agreed to Brussels.
