Kurti said Isufaj makes chief prosecutor, Osman will soon make the decision

Blerim Isufaj can become chief prosecutor, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has warned. But the president is expected to make the decision. Late this month, the presidency has warned that a decision will be made. Vjosa Osman's possible decision to decree Isufaj could close [...]
Special Prosecutor's Chief Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj was placed at the centre of attacks by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and MPs from the ruling party following the arrest of Kosovo Energy Corporation chief Nagip Krasniqi, on the order of this prosecutor.
Isufaj has been awaiting a decision by President Vjosa Osmani for over a year. She has not yet decided whether to decree Isufajn, who was unanimously voted by the Prosecutorial Council a year ago to lead the highest prosecution institution in the country.
But recently a decision has been warned by the presidency.
After the Constitutional Court overturned the law for the Prosecutorial Council in late March, the presidency has said the head of state is awaiting completion of other anti-Candidal Isufaj trials to finally make a decision.
The president has publicly clarified that since there has been a conflict on the judicial path of procedures conducted at the KKP by some of the counterCandids. The president will expect the depletion of all constitutional and legal deadlines available to disgruntled counterCandids, who are in court procedures”, said Bekim Kupina, media adviser to President Vjosa Osmani.
“Aphats for such a conflict end at the end of April, so the president will make the decision after this deadline is exhausted, because the reverse would be the interference in the independence of the justice system”, he has declared.
Kurti spoke on behalf of Osman: Isufaj couldn't be chief prosecutor
After labeling prosecutors as opponents, Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a Parliament session Thursday expressed his indignation with the arrest of KEK chief chief, since he said Isufaj could not become the chief prosecutor.
Prosecutors who commit suicide and suicide commit murder despite the will and position of the president, prime minister and prime minister, want to, at any cost, whatever circumstances, certainly become chief prosecutor. But they won't. They won't. Not because it's me. Not because you are. But because there are both Republics and people” in this country, Kurt said.
The prime minister called prosecutors <x0 human beings who have yet to agree with the outcome of February 14th, 2021”.
Osmani has said he decrees Isufaj
President Vjosa Osmani at the end of October last year had said she had announced The KKP will not expect decree from it.
The Prosecutor's Council is notified and at the last meeting we've had with them. It is absurd to expect a process, which is being contested in Kosovo courts. This does not happen in a country where the law rules. And I'm the president who respects law and constitution”, Osmani said on October 26, 2022.
Recently, President Vjosa Osmani has accused the Procusorial Council of “unacceptable and illegal” on it, regarding the process of electing the chief state prosecutor.
The KKP on April 5th has demanded that Osman urgently decree Blerim Isufaj in the chief prosecutor's position, as it has been made over a year since their proposal is standing without epilogue in the presidency.
After that, Osmani has sent a letter to KKP leader Jetish Malokut.
“Expressing my opposition to the tendency that through distorted interpretations of court decisions regarding the procedure carried out at the KKP, public opinion and the presidency institution”, Time has reported on.
It was there that Osman wrote that he informed him. The KKP would expect “the suspension of all constitutional and legal terms” for candidates who have complained to receive answers.
The Constitutional Court's decision to bring down the law on the Prosecutorial Council brought down at least temporarily the government's plan to change prosecutors.
This law, compiled by the Government, was adopted in the Assembly in June of last year and envisioned changing the composition of the KKP, and from this opposition, has alleged that Osman São has made any decisions, awaiting just that.
But after the Constitutional decision, the president now remembers that Isufaj's failure to return the process to zero and that the current KPK composition can make the same choice and bring back Isufaj's name to the table.
On April 6, 2022, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council unanimously voted Blerim Isufajn to succeed Aleksandar Lumez in the position of chief state prosecutor. When Lumez's seven-year term ended, KKP had appointed Besim Kelmendi as the acting prosecutor of state.
The United States of America and the European Union, in particular Germany, had considered it surprising, disappointing and disturbing, the way the Prosecutorial Council had chosen Blerim Isufaj for the chief state prosecutor.
Three non-governmental organizations: The Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), the Group for Jury and Political Studies (GLPS) and the FOL Movement had asked the president not to decree Isufajn, considering the KP proposal unacceptable.
