Kurti spoke of visa liberalisation and the first step towards membership in the Council of Europe.

This week every citizen of the Republic has felt more European and closer to Europe”, Kurti said.

He said the visa liberalisation process was unblocked last year with much work and commitment.

With a lot of work and commitment, last year we managed to undo this process. Our passport will be more powerful, as our country is becoming ever stronger and stronger”, Kurti said.

Kurti has added that Kosovo will meet all the criteria needed for membership in the Council of Europe.

Kosovo received admission for full-fledged application to the Council of Europe. The three fundamental values of the KiE that we have fulfilled have also contributed to this great achievement. We confirm we are on the right track that Kosovo belongs to the European union”, Kurti has said.
