Kuci seeks to respect Constitutional Court decisions

The former chairman of the Commission for Learning the Constitution of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuci, in a proposal for Online Economy has said the Constitution on Freedoms and Human Rights is among the best. According to him, in the past the Constitutional Court's judgments have been respected, and according to him, this tradition has yet to continue to prevent the pyramid of justice from ruining.
Kuci said drafting the Kosovo Constitution is one of the best jobs that has been done in statehood.
“I think it is one of the best jobs that has been done in the state building Kosovo, but also in creating the basis of what has been the goal of citizens, seen with the declaration of independence. It has enabled the state to be built, but the institutions, as well as legal bases, will be built in Kosovo. Of course, life has evolved that the norm and that can be adjusted or amendmentd”.
But the goal should be to see what the possibilities the Constitution offers and how to implement them in life. While the amendment should be careful but in particular not in those parts that we will call the DNA of the Constitution or the fundamental principles of a modern and democratic constitution based on order and law. I am convinced that these processes should be careful with social consensus and with a exhausted public debate”, he told EO.
According to him, changes in Constitutional services can take place for better citizens.
I think that as regards human freedoms and rights, the Constitution is solid, perhaps among the best. On the other hand, in the division of powers what might be the rights born from the third generation, which may be for better services to citizens. What links them to environmental protection or even to other approaches that always make life more functional, and citizens are doing it better to feel, but even more functional in the state where they live”, he said.
Kuci said that in the past, the Constitutional Court's judgments have been respected even in cases where that act has damaged political balances or personal positions.
Therefore, according to him, the current government must also continue the tradition so that it will not break the pyramid of justice.
I think the Constitution and our environment was built on such a basis that it would be understood to be the highest judicial act. In the past it has been shown that every act of judgment has been respected, and when that act of law has undermined political balances or damaged personal positions earlier. I think this good tradition should be continued and graced in this case, even in terms of the Constitutional Court's bias must be continuous and not disrupt the pyramid of justice”, Kuci concluded for EO.
Kosovo's constitution was ratified on April 9, 2008, and took effect on June 15, 2008. The constitution is the highest judicial act, guaranteeing fundamental rights and freedoms of all citizens of the country.
Much of this constitution stems from former President Martti Ahtisaari's Plan, thus granting specific rights to minority groups and a safer environment for all Kosovo citizens.
The constitution defines Kosovo as a state with a neutral view of religion, Article 8. She has 14 chapters and 162 mothers.
