The Kosovo Security Bureau has backed the “project this year Road safety” developed by the Temple College, but other important institutions

In this year's edition, over March and April over 40 high schools in 25 Kosovo municipalities have been visited, respectively, over 300 parallels with seniors. This age is the main category of riding bicycles and electric triatins, and most of them are in the process of driving motor vehicles.

Winning students from around the country will be invited to Pristina at traditional municipal meetings in the third week of May 2023, where final Republican bicycle races will take place as other years. With these activities now ten years apart from keeping students alive for greater safety on the road, we have also managed to meet the void and lack of national curriculum in subjects/modules for education and traffic culture.

The activities held this year under the national project “Road safety” has yielded results in the students' education and awareness of road safety.

In addition, they have helped identify students ' knowledge of traffic rules and signs, which have been accomplished as a result of their actual activities:

  • 40 high school visits;
  • Over 300 visited parallels;
  • Over 5 media presentations for this year's activity;
  • 5,000 test on seniors' knowledge of traffic signs;
  • 5,000 questionnaires;
  • 1 session of online speeches on sign knowledge and traffic regulations.

These activities this year are contributing concrete to the joint action plan to boost road security as the request of the UN Organization's Global Action Decade 2021-2030.

Present at the realization of the 8th edition of the school Review “Road security-2023” were Professor Muhamed Krasniqi from the Temple, Sami Mazrek from the Kosovo Security Bureau, N/Colonel Jefin Rexhepi, N/Colonel Africa Ahmeti and other officials from Kosovo Police, Director Nezir Gashi from the DKKSCR, representatives of the municipality of Pristina, AMRKS, students and temple staff.
