The news has revealed, the chairman of this party, Aleksandar Jablanovic.
At an extraordinary news conference for the media, he has said the withdrawal decision has been taken by party leadership.
According to him, his party is stepping down because there are no adequate conditions for holding elections, as well as complaining about how they will be held, citing the fact that they will be kept in the container and that security will be guaranteed by Kosovo Police.
He said he had no pressure on participating in the election, although he expected something like that.
Jablanovic has called on all citizens not to appear in the election Sunday.
The party has had only one candidate for chairman, Jablanovijqi himself, and 20 candidates for the Leposavic municipal assembly.
The extraordinary elections are being organised after the mayors of these municipalities -- from the ranks of the Serbian List, the largest Serb party in Kosovo -- has resigned in November last year, as a sign of opposition to the Kosovo Government's decision to reregister Serbian license plates in the Kosovo Republic.
The Serbian list, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, refuses to participate in the elections, with the argument that two requirements have not been met -- the formation of the Serb majority municipalities' association, and the withdrawal of Kosovo Police Special Units from the north.
Unlike past times, in these elections, except in some schools, they will be held in containers.
