Kosovo to secure justice for killed journalists, UN expert says

Kosovo should continue work on strengthening media freedom, independent UN human rights expert Irene Khan said Thursday. While greeting “peisazary media pluralistic geox1> in Kosovo, she encouraged authorities to continue strengthening media freedom.

“I call on authorities to fully implement the law on languages, and I call on the international community to provide adequate support to independent Serb-language media”, she said after a visit she made to Kosovo days ago.

She added that Kosovo must complete investigations into past killings and forced disappearances of journalists and ensure justice.
