Kosovo's national security could be put at risk by the use of the technical social network, which has already found widespread use in the country.

Some world countries have already stopped using this social network for safety issues. How much our country's national security can be jeopardised by the use of this Chinese-based platform speaks in a proposal for Radio Kosovo Commissioner for Information and Private Crenare Sogojevo Drsmaku.

She said this platform, which enables citizens to provide a lot of personal data, will be assessed by security institutions rather than endangering national security other than personal.

We'll sit down together and make a preliminary assessment. Let's see where and what national security can endanger the use of this” platform, she said.

“E, then we're going with a proposal to the Government and the Parliament, because stopping such a platform can only be done by their”.

Sogojevo Dremak, also said the EU has applied to all of their employees to stop using this platform in mobile calls for national security and protection of official documents.

And, in terms of reports that China is collecting state data through Tik-Tok, she said this risk is not just for our citizens, but for the whole world.

Many states have applied to stop this platform, because China can control not only the citizens' data but also the official data, and through this platform it can jeopardise the country's security, said Drimak.

She announced that Kosovo police have all the contacts of social network officials, except for Tik-tok, with whom they have no contact in case of any violation. According to her, this problem will be one of the points of discussion during the assessment of this situation.

Otherwise, social platforms don't sell anything as their capital, they have private data collection. Therefore, Sogojevo-Dermak has called on all citizens to expose as little data and photography as possible in order to preserve their privacy.
